First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, and calling for help)

environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies

CPR/AED
This course is for non-healthcare providers. Learn how to implement basic CPR, using a barrier device and AED. At this Heartsaver CPR AED Course you will learn how to relieve choking for adults, children, and infants. You will learn how to confidently apply and operate an Automatic Electronic Defibrilator.

This course will teach individuals about:
Adult/Child/Infant CPR with mask
Adult/Child/Infant choking
Adult/Child/Infant AED use
The student will demonstrate proficiency in providing Heartsaver CPR & AED with skills testing.

All Certification is under the national Branf if EMS Safety which is under the umbrella International Health and Safety Institute

After successful completion of a certification for BLS, FirstAid, CPR and AED the participant will receive a Card to validate training.. The card is
Valid for two years after issue date
Identifies instructor’s name and instructor number
Each card has a unique control number

Instuctors

All our our instructors are Registered Nurses with Instructor Certification from EMS Safety Under HSI.

AlDementia Care

Goals are:
To provide fundamental education on dementia and dementia care.
To enhance the quality of life of dementia patients through educating care providers.
Foster sensitivity & respect for the dementia client.
To teach communication techniques.
To provide sensitive approaches for assisting patients with activities of daily living.

Participants will
Have an understanding of dementia.
Identify common causes of aggressive, repetitive and sundowning behaviors in older adults.
Describe behavioral/care interventions that may be used to prevent, reduce or eliminate difficult care situations.
Describe challenges related to caregiver stress and utilize stress reduction techniques.
Learn alternative activity interventions that are success oriented and failure free.
Receive certificate of attendance in seminar
Can submit application and proof of program attendance to the NCCDP Earn the National designation Of Certified Dementia y Practitioner. Valid for 2 years and will require the individual to recertify to maintain the certification.
